Alice Chik is a senior lecturer at Macquarie University, Sidney, Australia. Alice's main research interest is in literacy development beyond the classroom. She is especially interested in the roles of popular culture and digital practices in shaping young people's literacy practices and identities. In her research adventures, she has worked with digital gamers and indie musicians on issues of language, practices, and identities. In exploring literacy practices in informal settings, Alice is interested in using narrative inquiry as a research approach. Alice is the co-author of Narrative Inquiry in Language Teaching and Learning Research (Routledge, 2014) and co-editor of Popular Culture, Pedagogy and Teacher Education: International Perspectives (Routledge, 2014), and Discourse and Digital Practices (Routledge, 2015). She is the co-editor of a special issue of Language Learning & Technology on 'Digital Literacies & Language Learning' (2015, 19:3).
A. Gumawang Jati is a senior lecturer at Faculty of Art and Design, Bandung Institute of Technology. He went to a master’s program at the University of Warwick, UK before completing his doctorate education in Indonesia University of Education, Bandung. He is a prominent speaker in the fields of English Language Teaching, Teacher Training, Digital Material Development, and ICT in Education. He is currently the president of i-TELL (Indonesia Technology Enhanced Language Learning) Association.
Siti Nurul Azkiyah, Ph.D. is a senior lecturer at the Department of English Education, the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University. She is currently serving as the Head of the Language Centre of the university. She finished her bachelor degree in English Education from State University of Malang, Indonesia, continued her master degree at the University of York, UK and completed her doctoral degree at the University of Groningen, NL. She has published several articles in Scopus indexed journals such as Journal of Classroom Interaction, International Journal of Applied Linguistics and English Literature. She is the editor in chief of IJEE (Indonesian Journal of English Education) published by the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the university.
